Why this logo?

I LOVE AFRICA - it's where my roots are! It is in my blood! My soul belongs here in AFRICA. I am sure other people feel the same about their continents, but here in AFRICA MY heart beats to the rhythm of the land.

I think it is the most versatile and adventurous continent on the globe. It is mysterious ... dark at times ... wild and untamed ... and holds a history full of secrets.

Before I got married I wanted to go on one of those overland 4x4 bus tours. If I sold my little red City Golf I would have had enough money for the 9 month excursion, but on my return I would have had no job, no house, no car. In hindsight and now knowing myself better I am of the very strong opinion that I would probably not have returned from the exploration. I would have gotten stuck in one or other of the mysterious countries doing some volunteer work or just living the life of someone without normal responsibilities like paying a bond, having a medial aid and so forth. Alas in this case my heart lost the fight.

Still on my life's bucket list is an exploration from the South point to the North point of AFRICA in a 4x4 vehicle!

The round green "circle" around AFRICA is a compass. It represents a whole bunch of things to me: * my life was making a drastic course change (whether I wanted it or not) * you need a compass when you go on adventures * you need direction to achieve your goals

Why the "green" colour? To be precise it is Dark Sea Green - next to AFRICA, I LOVE the ocean: the smell, the sound and the way that it makes me feel ...
